Job Description

The Social Media Specialist will work within the Brand Relations department to promote awareness of and conversation about Annie Selke and the Annie Selke brands. All social media work at The Annie Selke Companies supports the company’s goals of providing top-quality products, original design ideas, and outstanding customer service and engagement. This position is based on-site only at company headquarters in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Salary based on qualifications.


Responsibilities:

  • Meet with the Brand Relations, Content, Design, and Ecommerce teams to discuss objectives, social media strategy, cross-promotion, and execution.
  • Create, publish, and maintain content across all social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter.
  • Upload and maintain photo galleries, film strips, and special events on Facebook.
  • Monitor all Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts during the week and on weekends and provide timely responses to customer and fan posts.
  • Pin images from the Companies’ websites and blog, design blogs, and other outside press to its Pinterest account.
  • Monitor the social media pages/feeds of competitors and design bloggers, and critically analyze their performance against that of The Annie Selke Companies.
  • Provide monthly social media & blog performance reports using Google Analytics, Wordpress, Facebook Insights, Hootsuite Insights, Twitter Counter, Pinterest Analytics and other performance-monitoring tools.
  • Contact bloggers/influencers for photo usage permissions.
  • Create and monitor all social media promotions and giveaways, including Twitter Parties, Pin-to-Win contests, photo contests, etc.
  • Other department-related tasks as assigned by the Brand Relations Director.

  • A deep passion for the use of social media.
  • Ability to produce great work results through relentless organization, exceptional accuracy, uncompromising integrity, effective communication, and proactive problem solving.
  • Desire to provide exceptional customer service and outstanding results.
  • Capacity to interact well with the public as well as internal employees.
  • Resourceful, entrepreneurial spirit, with the ability to find solutions to problems and ask the appropriate questions.

  • Job Specifications/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of work experience in the social media marketing industry.
  • Deep understanding of social media best practices and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of the capabilities and uses of Facebook, Twitter, Hootsuite, Pinterest, and Google+.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to adapt to The Annie Selke Companies’ varied voices. A writing sample will be requested from all candidates.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with using standard office-based software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with analytic tools Google Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Iconosquare.
  • • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge appreciated.
  • Ability to stay abreast of emerging technologies and social media platforms.
  • Ability to recognize personal limits and find resourceful ways to self-educate and overcome those limits.
  • Knowledge of SEO preferred.

  • This position is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in the beautiful Berkshire Hills.

    Electrician

    Licensed electrician needed for maintenance and facility management dept. This is a multi-faceted position that will not only include electrical work but also carpentry, basic plumbing, landscape & snow removal, warehouse support and other projects as needed. Work includes both maintaining the inside and outside of the facility. A valid, Massachusetts Electrical license is necessary for this position. This is a full time, year-round position with an excellent benefit package. Position is contingent on a favorable background check.
